Juliana Mocatta

Legal Director

For the last 8 years, I have specialised in all aspects of developmental matters from long term strategic sites, site acquisitions and disposals, development set ups, affordable housing agreements and viability review mechanisms, planning issues through to asset management, plot sales and lettings on residential, commercial and mixed use schemes. I regularly act on complex transactions involving complicated consortium, collaboration and JV agreements, options, conditional contracts, pre-emptions, overage, buy backs, first refusals as well as negotiating planning agreements and infrastructure documents. I advise on a number of long term strategic land sites and act for several consortiums of developers some of which have sites of over 3,000 residential units. I act for a range of developers from national housebuilders to first time developers as well as acting for landowners.

Experience

I have over 20 years of experience in advising clients on a wide range of commercial property and development matters. I spent 11 years in the City, including more than six years as a Senior Associate in the commercial real estate team of a leading City law firm. During that time, I advised a broad range of clients on property acquisitions and disposals, sale and leaseback transactions, property finance, investment and joint venture arrangements, landlord and tenant matters as well as residential and commercial developments. My clients included listed corporations, banks, pension funds as well as private companies and individuals.
